Workweek Outlook: Smoke gives way to seasonal sunshine

Dry conditions will continue with the next chance of rain coming this weekend

Forest fires north of Wawa push some south to the Sault region on a north wind to start the workweek. However, eventually skies and smoke will clear, and temperatures will cool. We should see daytime highs fall back to near the mid-20s - which is still a little warmer than normal for early June.

There is very little hope for widespread rain this week. The dry conditions will continue this week, with the next chance of rain holding off until this weekend.

Monday brings a mix of sun and cloud, with temperatures falling slightly to 26°C on a northerly breeze.

The cool northerly winds persist Tuesday, with daytime highs reaching 24°C under mostly sunny skies. Wednesday will also be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 23°C.

Thursday and Friday will see a few clouds with daytime highs lingering around 24°C. That next chance of rain arrives late Friday into Saturday.
