Workweek Outlook: More predictable, stable weather ahead

The work week ahead will see temperatures just a bit above seasonal values in the low 20s

Weather forecasters indeed took their lumps this past weekend. On Friday I was asked by many people how the weekend was looking because just about everyone's phone weather app had a different forecast. During the unstable conditions this past weekend the hit and miss nature of storms and pockets of sun can make forecasting a challenge.

This week things change to stable weather with high pressure and plenty of sunshine hanging out over the region. The work week ahead will see temperatures just a bit above seasonal values in the low 20s. Other than a chance of showers Wednesday night, there much more confidence in the forecast for the days ahead.

On Monday we will see fog and drizzle early in the day with breaks of sun in the afternoon. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid-20s with a northwest breeze.  Locations to the lee of Lake Superior will see the cooler temperatures.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and temperatures near 24°C.

A mix of sun and cloud move in for Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures in the mid-20s. There is the slight risk of a shower late in the day on Wednesday.

A little more sun returns on Friday with temperatures climbing to near 27°C. No promises for the weekend as unstable weather may move back into the region.
