The warm air that has brought rapid snowmelt and flooding in British Columbia will now spread eastwards into Ontario to bring unseasonably warm temperatures.  Daytime highs at the end of May are typically in the upper teens, but this week we will see temperatures 5-10 degrees above normal. By the end of this week, we will likely be talking about humidex values and thunderstorms as summer-like conditions develop.

Monday morning brings a few clouds with mainly sunny skies in the afternoon and evening. Daytime highs will climb to near 23°C with on a westerly breeze.

For Tuesday mainly sunny skies will allow temperatures to climb into the mid-20s.

By Thursday hot, humid conditions move into the region.  Daytime highs on Thursday could reach 28°C with a humidex over 30°C. There is even the risk of thunderstorms after sunset.

Friday brings mixed clouds and sun with scattered thunderstorms. Highs will be near 25°C. The unsettled weather continues into the weekend along with the above seasonal temperatures.
