Workweek Outlook: A mid-week cool down will not last

With this battle between cold and warm, we will continue to see plenty of clouds and nuisance light precipitation

After mixed precipitation to start the workweek, we will see arctic air rush back into the region for Wednesday.  The current weather pattern over North America will win out by the end of the week as temperatures climb back to the freezing mark or slightly above and continue into this coming weekend.  With this battle between cold and warm, we will continue to see plenty of clouds and nuisance light precipitation.

We may see some patchy freezing rain or ice pellets Tuesday morning and then showers this afternoon and early in the evening as temperatures sneak above the freezing mark.  Colder air rushes into the region overnight.

Wednesday will be cloudy with the chance of a flurry and gusty northwest winds. Colder than normal temperatures will be in place with daytime highs only reaching -5°C.

Mostly cloudy skies arrive Thursday along with more seasonal temperatures just a degree or two below freezing.

Snow moves back in on Friday as we climb back just above the freezing mark.  Watch for more snow at the end of this coming weekend that will usher in the colder air early next week.
