Woman robbed in back alley. Cops seek dude in smiley-hat

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE ************************* A female called police at 1:40 a.m. on the 6th of September and reported that she was robbed around 10:22 p.m. that evening when she was walking down an alley off St. Georges Avenue East.

************************* A female called police at 1:40 a.m. on the 6th of September and reported that she was robbed around 10:22 p.m. that evening when she was walking down an alley off St. Georges Avenue East.

A male approached her and advised her he needed some money.

When the victim advised she did not have any, the male pulled out a knife and demanded she give him her money.

The male suspect fled on foot towards John Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as being in his early 20s, 5’4”, thin build, with an unknown type of tattoo on his right forearm, wearing a black hat with a smiley face on it.

The investigation is continuing.
