Woman hurt in Goulais Twp rollover

Sault Ste. Marie OPP investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Highway 552 in Goulais Township Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The Dodge Dakota pickup entered standing water on the roadway, lost control and struck the snow bank and rolled over.

A 45-year-old lady from Goulais River was treated and released from Sault Area Hospital.

Police are advising all motorists to expect changing road conditions as spring approaches.

These conditions could include standing water and black ice on the road surface.

The key to prevent most crashes is moderate speed.

In February, 22 of 26 crashes investigated by Sault Ste. Marie OPP were a direct result of drivers driving too fast for the road conditions.
