************************ Male arrested for sexual assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 50-year-old Henry Jones of 399 Goulais Avenue on the 5th of December at 12:55 p.m. on Wilson Street and charged him with one count of sexual assault.

It is alleged that on the 5th of December at approximately 5 a.m. the accused offered a ride to a female that had been walking in the Gore Street area, drove her to a business on Wilson Street, forced her into an office area and sexually assaulted her.

The female received non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

The victim and the accused are not known to each other.

The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.
