Woman charged after crash on Queen Street West

NEWS RELEASE

************************* Officers from traffic services attended at a motor vehicle collision at Andrew Street and Queen Street West yesterday afternoon just before 2 p.m.

It is alleged that a 27-year-old female driver of a Pontiac that was traveling southbound on Andrew Street failed to yield at the intersection and struck a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Queen Street West being operated by a 26-year-old male.

The 27-year-old female, Shannon Hicks of 66 Lake Street in Echo Bay, was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

She has been charged with one count of fail to yield to traffic on a through highway under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
