A 37-year-old female was arrested this afternoon and charged with one count of assault.
It is alleged that female assaulted her 3-year-old daughter by shaking her.
The incident occurred in a parking lot in the city’s central area and was witnessed by several people who contacted police.
The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused will appear in court on Monday February 11, 2013.
