Witness describes force of crash at Niganobe trial

Jurors in the Jeanette Niganobe trial heard eyewitness testimony today in Sudbury. Brach Middaugh, a Sault Ste. Marie resident, was a passenger in a vehicle travelling on Black Road at the time of the fatal crash.

Jurors in the Jeanette Niganobe trial heard eyewitness testimony today in Sudbury.

Brach Middaugh, a Sault Ste. Marie resident, was a passenger in a vehicle travelling on Black Road at the time of the fatal crash.

Middaugh said the van driven by Niganobe spun the police car it struck completely around.

The crash resulted in the death of City Police Const. Don Doucet and led to charges of impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death against Niganobe.

The trial continues.
