************************* Copper wire theft

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - On the 9th of August 2007, the East Algoma OPP received a call to attend Mount Dufour Ski Hill in the city of Elliot Lake.

On scene, police were advised that unknown person(s) attended the ski hill and removed approximately 500 feet of copper wire from the hill's snow-making machine.

This theft occurred sometime between the 23rd of July 2007 and the 9th of August 2007.

The wire is described as five 100 feet of copper cable #10 gauge X 4 wiring with a 600-volt capacity.

Attached were three phase plug-ins.

Approximate value of the theft is estimated at $4,000.
