Environment Canada has issued the following weather warnings for SooToday.com's coverage area.
The wind warning mentioned below is in effect for Agawa - Lake Superior Park - Wawa - Pukaskwa - White River - Dubreuilville - Cloud Bay - Dorion.
Severe thunderstorm watches (less urgent than a warning) are in effect for the Gogama - Foleyet - Chapleau - Missinaibi Lake areas.
Similar weather watches and warnings are in effect for other parts of Northeasten Ontario, however there are currently no warnings for the Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake - Sudbury - North Bay corridor.

Wind warning for Agawa - Lake Superior Park issued
Brief strong winds gusts this afternoon.
This is a warning that damaging winds are imminent or occurring in these regions.
Monitor weather conditions. Listen for updated statements.
Severe thunderstorm watch: a cold front will move through the above regions from northwest to southeast during the afternoon and evening hours.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of the front.
A few of these storms could become locally severe with damaging wind gusts and hail.
Wind warning: brief northwesterly wind gusts to 90 km/h will be possible near the north shore of western Lake Superior early this afternoon and near the north shore of eastern Lake Superior late this afternoon.
