NEWS RELEASE

LAKE SUPERIOR ACTION- RESEARCH-CONSERVATION

*************************** LSARC.ca is pleased to host John Laforet, president of Wind Concerns Ontario, Friday evening September 2, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Searchmont Community Centre, 734 Hwy 532.

Through Wind Concerns Ontario, the coordinated community activism of 58 grassroots citizen groups across 33 counties and districts has been extremely effective at defending the interests of the citizens of Ontario from exploitation by industrial wind developers.

The Ontario Liberal Government's discredited energy policies are of ever greater concern to voters.

Wind Concerns Ontario's Winds of Change tour will have a major impact on the way these voters look at the issues.

John will speak on industrial wind development and the current state of energy politics in Ontario.

The WCO province-wide petition will be available and volunteers will be solicited for canvassing.

Saturday, September 3 at 11 a.m., WCO will conduct a canvassing clinic at Havilland Shores Road, McCauley's Village.

A float-illa is planned for noon-time photo ops at the adjacent public beach.
