What you need to know about Pridefest today

The day begins with a flag raising at 10 a.m. and continues through to a celebration of life this evening

The fifth annual Pridefest kicks off Pride Week in Sault Ste. Marie today.

  • 10 a.m. Flag raising by Sault Mayor Christian Provenzano at City Hall
  • 11:30 a.m. Pride walk from City Hall to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre
  • 12 - 4 p.m. Family Fun Day activities at the Bushplane centre include bouncy castles, face painting, balloon artists, vendors and crafts as well as drag performers, information from community agencies and live music. To find out more, please click here
  • 7 p.m. Celebration of Life - HIV/AIDS vigil at Bellevue Park south gazebo shelter
