************************* Sixty-three-year-old Stanley Anthony Tait of #407-615 Bay Street was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 yesterday at 1:32 p.m. at Sears.

It is alleged that the accused attended at the store around 1:15 p.m. and stole a camcorder, some tools and jewelery from the store.

He was apprehended by store security and held for police.

He is to appear in court on the 14th of September.

************************* Attempted break-and-enter reports

- Attempted break and enters were reported to apartments at Terry Fox Place and Breton Road as well as a unit on Constellation Place.

************************* Theft reports

Vehicles were entered on Palomino Drive, Wellington Street West, the 300 block of Old Goulais Bay Road and the 1000 block of Lake Street.

Items stolen included laptops, a camera, CDs, an iPod Touch, wallets and a purse.

Police would like to once again remind the public to lock their vehicles and not leave any valuables in their unattended vehicle at any time.
