Just 32 more sleeps, kids!
A grand opening for Sault Ste. Marie's long-awaited, first and only splash pad will take place on Saturday, June 8.
The big event in Bellevue Park will begin with a ceremony at 1 p.m. and will continue until 3 p.m. with giveaways for kids.
Parents are asked to use the Shore Drive parking lot just east of the Ontario Forest Research Institute.
Shore Drive was renamed Rotary Parkway late last year to honour the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie’s 100th anniversary.
Major contributors to the Sault's newest play venue include Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore, Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore Foundation, Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, a local charity hockey tournament and the Jones family.
