*************************** Community survey for 2010-2012 business plan

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is asking for the assistance of the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie in developing the business plan for 2009 through 2012.

Oracle Poll Research Limited will be conducting a random phone survey regarding policing services commencing on Tuesday October 13.

The phone survey will canvass both private residences and businesses.

In addition to the phone survey, similar print surveys will be mailed out in the very near future to various community organizations including service clubs, boards, and specific-interest groups.

The survey will ask participants a variety of questions ranging from rating past police service experiences to specific concerns in our community.

Oracle Poll will keep any information that would identify the survey participant confidential.

Only quantified aggregate information will be released to the police service.

The resulting report will be used to help the police service establish performance objectives and strategies that will build the framework for policing in our jurisdiction for the next three years.

It is the hope of the police service that if you are contacted, you will participate in the survey.

The input of our citizens is paramount in developing a business plan for the communities that we serve. ******************************
