The place was packed when SooToday.com arrived at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre today to take in the 17th annual Bushplane Days.
And Edie Suriano, the museum's marketing and promotions coordinator, couldn't have been happier.
"It's been busy like this all day since this morning," she told us.
The celebration features a variety of activities for all ages, including helicopter rides, carnival games, model train rides, inflatables, live music, face painting, a family BBQ, and the popular Ministry of Natural Resources CL-415 waterbomber demonstration.
Smokey the Bear was there enjoying the festivities, as was your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman.
Bushplane Days continues tomorrow, Sunday September 23, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.
Please be sure to test drive a Ford vehicle (yes, the new Mustang is available for a spin) with a member of the Sault Steelers football team to help keep the Bushplane Museum flying high.
For each test drive, Ford will donate $20 to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.
Spiderman has Sunday off (even super heroes need a break), so the one and only Captain America will be on hand for photos and autographs.
The Ministry of Natural Resources waterbomber demonstration will begin on the St. Marys River at 12 noon sharp.
