Thank you, SooToday.com readers!

As of 3:15 p.m. today, Sault Ste. Marie is ranked #3 in the KISS fan-routed tour contest!

When we posted our story yesterday about fire-breathing, guitar-smoking, blood-spitting KISS putting together the world's first-ever fan-directed tour, and how the Essar Centre, really, really, really wants to host the band here, the Sault was ranked #111 among North American cities.

Today, thanks to your help, we're pleased to report that we're outvoting lesser places like Detroit and New York City and Los Angeles.

Cities with the greatest number of demands will be included on the band's fall tour schedule.

If you haven't already done so, we need you to point your browser here, scroll down slightly and click on the yellow "Demand it!" button to let KISS know how much the Sault wants them to perform here.

Then, and this step will be absolutely critical to getting KISS to the Essar Centre, we need you to use the handy button on the bottom of this story to spread the word to every former Saultite in your address book.

"Hello Sootoday.com," faithful reader Wes Greco writes us this morning. "I decided that I would e-mail you regarding your posting about the KISS contest.

"I just want to say that I am a huge KISS fan and once I saw this opportunity to have them in our own city, I knew that I would have to make the best of that chance.

"I have sent the link to everyone on my MSN list and I have also created a Facebook group named "KISS coming to Sault Ste. Marie. I have 500+ people on my Facebook and I clicked through every single one of them to send the link to them so they will vote.

"I would be so proud and happy to see our city come together and win a contest like this, especially against big cityies that are winning the top 10.

"I believe with enough promotion and getting word out there to vote, we will be able to do this and bring KISS to our city.

"I am 20 years old and attending Sault College. I would enjoy nothing more then to see this happen. If you have any ideas or anything like that please let me know and I would be happy to help in making this work."

Great work, Wes!

SooToday.com's Carol Martin, Donna Hopper and David Helwig are all featuring this contest this morning on our individual Facebook pages. Let's make this happen, Sault Ste. Marie!
