Gusty wind conditions will drive weather conditions this weekend. A southerly flow early in the weekend will bring warmer temperatures and the risk of rain.

A northerly flow later in the weekend will bring cooler temperatures and a risk of lake effect showers.

Friday will see cloudy skies with a southerly wind over 30km/h. This wind will push temperatures up to near +10C in the afternoon and then even higher overnight.

Rain is likely to move into the region late Friday afternoon and taper off to showers overnight.

Saturday morning will see the gusty winds swing around to the northwest bringing cooler air later in the day. The risk of lake effect showers will continue all day Saturday.

Sunday will see winds weaken but remain northerly. This will bring a mix of sun and cloud with near seasonal daytime highs.

Warmer air returns early next week as the southerly flow returns.
