This weekend will remain five to 10 degrees below normal with chances of rain Friday night and then again Sunday night

Typical Father's Day weekends usually see temperatures in the low 20's, and often we've seen over 30°C by this time of year. This weekend will remain five to 10 degrees below normal with chances of rain Friday night and then again Sunday night. In the middle, we'll see a sunny but windy Saturday.

So if your father is looking for a day to relax and golf this weekend, then Saturday will be best as persistent winds keep the bugs away. If sitting in a boat and fishing is your Dad's reward this weekend then Sunday might be best as winds weaken and low pressure arrives to get those fish biting.

We will see sunshine early Friday as temperatures climb to near 19°C. Light rain moves into the region by mid to late afternoon and continues until about midnight with 5-10 mm of accumulation.

Saturday will become mostly sunny in the afternoon with daytime highs near 13°C and gusty northwest winds over 20 km/h.

Sunday morning should be sunny, but clouds and scattered showers move in during the afternoon and evening as temperatures climb to near 17°C.

Next week starts out cloudy, but temperatures start creeping back up towards more normal values for mid-June.
