Weekend Outlook: A hot, dry end for May

The final days of May will see no rainfall and temperatures that embark on a slow and steady climb towards 30°C. This warm end to the month will ensure that May of 2023 will end almost two degrees warmer than normal. However, while some rainfall this month, we will still have about 33 percent less rainfall than average - meaning dry conditions will build as we move toward June.

Any patchy morning frost quickly gives way to sunshine on Friday that will help push temperatures to 23°C in the afternoon.

The heat builds under sunny skies Saturday and Sunday as daytime highs climb into the mid-20s.

This warm, sunny, dry weather continues well into next week as we nudge closer to 30°C. The next chance of rainfall is at least a week away - and that isn't even a certainty.
