Early Wednesday morning, Sault Ste. Marie fire service crews responded to a fire at the Elgin Integral Health Centre on 75 Elgin St.

Just after 4:30 a.m., smoke was visible from the road, coming from the windows of a multi-unit building, according to the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services press release.

Crews were able to contain the fire and there were no injuries, despite the building suffering considerable damage.

Upon investigation, the fire was determined to be electrical in nature, and it was not considered suspicious.
