UPDATE: Highway 17 north of Sault reopened

Ontario's 511 traffic information service is advising that Highway 17 between Batchawana Bay and Wawa has been closed tonight due to weather conditions.

The advisory was issued just before 10 p.m. stating the closure affects the highway in both directions from Highway 563 at Batchawana to Highway 101 in Wawa.

The closure took effect at 9:50 p.m.
