Local resident charged with sexual assault

WAWA - On June 2, 2012 Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wawa Detachment began an investigation into a sexual assault that had occurred a week prior.

The assault was reported to have taken place at a residence in the town of Wawa.

On June 20, 2012 OPP executed an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Joseph Neyland of Michipicoten First Nation, ON.

The accused has been charged with one count of sexual assault and is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on August 13, 2012.
