Washouts close Connor Road, Case Road

With the significant rain over night, Connor Road and Case Road remain closed due to washouts. Motorists are asked to avoid these areas. The City’s Public Works team continues to assess the damage caused by the rain and hopes to have these streets open by end of day.

Residents are reminded to keep a close watch on water conditions and catch basins in front of houses keeping them free of leaves and debris, regularly check for updated weather forecasts and stay away from fast-moving streams. Damage assessment and repairs will be ongoing by the City’s Public Works team until all areas affected by the rainfall have been addressed.

A request for service from Public Works can be made online through the City’s website or by calling 705-759- 5201. The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks citizens for their cooperation and patience during this rainfall period. Further updates will be provided as required.
