The Washington wires are buzzing today with retirement speculation about a statement issued by Michelle Begnoche, spokesperson for Congressman Bart Stupak. Here's the full text of the statement:
Every two years, Congressman Stupak discusses with his family and his constituents whether to seek reelection.
He believes that is what the people of the First District of Michigan deserve.
This year is no different.
In the meantime, campaign plans are proceeding and the Congressman is pleased with the outpouring of support across his district.
In fact, he’s already acquired over a thousand signatures needed to file for re-election on May 11.
