"One person - one seatbelt"

The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are participating in this provincial campaign, which runs from April 16 to April 30.

As police officers we understand the importance of using seatbelts everyday and we want to ensure that the motoring public are buckled in safely and arrive alive.

Drivers are responsible for ensuring that passengers under the age of 16 are properly buckled up in a seatbelt, appropriate child car seat or booster seat.

Inspector Ron Faulkner is having his officers be extra diligent in the enforcement of this law and will be getting help from the OPP Northeast Region Traffic Unit to ensure compliance.

Don’t become a statistic; properly use your safety equipment that is provided for you.
