SAULT STE, MARIE, ON - Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the highways today east and north of Sault Ste. Marie.
As a result of the rainfall over the past few days and the dropping temperatures, the roads have become icy and slippery.
The bridges are particularly bad at this time.
As a result, there have been reports of vehicles losing control and accidents occurring.
This type of occurrence can be prevented by keeping vehicle speeds down, staying a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and paying close attention to the road conditions.
Ministry of Transportation has been notified and will be sending their units out.
