This morning, officers with the Patrol Services Section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service were able to locate and arrest 22-year-old Caleb Seaton of 99 Letcher Street.
Mr. Seaton was located in the area of Wellington Street East and Gore Street at about 6:30 a.m.
The accused was arrested for a number of offences including assault, assault with a weapon, threatening, forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon, break and enter with intent, and two counts of robbery, one with a weapon and one with a firearm.
It is alleged that on the 13th of December 2012, the accused entered a residence on Breton Road while carrying a handgun.
The accused assaulted the occupant of the residence and took a quantity of cash from him.
Further, it is alleged that on the 8th of April 2013 the accused broke into a residence on Albert Street West.
While in the residence the accused threatened to kill the resident with a knife and assaulted him by punching the victim.
The accused would not allow the victim to leave and took a quantity of cash from the victim and also sprayed the victim with bear spray while committing the offences.
Mr. Seaton will appear in bail court today.
