***************************** Visitor restrictions in effect on CARE East and West at SAH Plummer site

Due to the onset of nausea and vomiting among patients and staff on CARE East and West (Plummer site, second floor) some visitor restrictions have been imposed.

Only immediate family members who are involved in the care of their loved ones will be allowed to visit patients on this floor.

No other visitors will be allowed on this unit until further notice.

This action is necessary to protect the well-being of both our patients and their visitors.

SAH has instituted measures to contain cross-contamination between different areas of the hospital and between patients on this floor.

Individuals who may be planning to visit patients in other parts of the hospital are urged to use discretion and postpone their visits if possible.

Anyone experiencing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or any cold/ flu-like symptoms is asked to please refrain from visiting the hospital at this time.

Visitors who do come to the hospital are reminded to wash their hands often with the solution provided throughout the facility and to be respectful of all visiting hours/ stipulations and any other directions or requests from nursing staff.

SAH will continue to monitor the situation closely, including a daily review of the visitor restriction status, and advise the public immediately of any changes or updates.
