Video of Stiffler's Mom opening for INXS

The opportunity of a life time was presented to local rockers Stiffler's Mom when INXS opener, Hayley Sales cancelled at the last minute.

And what the Sault audience lacked in numbers, it made up for in volume at Sunday's INXS concert at the Steelback Centre.

With some mighty big shoes to fill, frontman J.D. Fortune wooed every woman in attendance with his swaying hips and dashing good looks.

Band mates Garry Gary Beers, Andrew Farriss, Jon Farriss, Tim Farriss and Kirk Pengilly seemed quite content and happy to hang back and let Mr. Fortune have the lime light and adoration of hundreds of screaming women.

Smiles and laughs were plentiful on stage and off as the evening was drawing to an end and the band seemed almost reluctant to leave the stage.

Sault Ste. Marie was their final stop on a 21 month world-wide tour.

They certainly went out with a bang.
