In June, cities all around the world celebrate Pride to acknowledge the 2SLGBTQQIPA+ community, and Sault organizations are taking part as well.
Algoma University's staff, faculty and students also took part, raising the Pride flag in honour of Pride month.
Algoma U says it remains committed to fostering a diverse community founded on respect, inclusion, and equity.
Today's flag-raising ceremony is a symbol of that, and an effort to stand up against discrimination and violence toward the 2SLGBTQQIPA+ community.
