Firefighters are currently trying to douse flames from burning vehicles at Triple M Metal LP (formerly Traders Metal) at 131 Yates Avenue. Capt. Randy Richards of Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services told SooToday.com that 14 firefighters are at the scene.

Three pumper trucks, a tanker and a rescue vehicle were dispatched at 12:06 today.

Richards said "maximum amounts of water" are being poured onto the blaze and additional air bottles for the fire crews are being shuttled to the location.

Smoke is visible across much of Bayview.
