************************* Theft of vehicle

Two 17-year-old males allegedly stole a pickup truck from a residence in the 500 block of Parliament Street.

This morning at approximately 12:55 a.m. the two youths entered the motor vehicle and attempted to back it out of the driveway after starting it.

The resident was alerted and was able to run outside and apprehend the two accused parties before they drove off.

Police were subsequently called and the youths were charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Both were released with a court date of the 2nd of March 2010.

************************* Mischief charge

Twenty-one-year-old Troy Wabigwan of 387 Cathcart Street was arrested on the 25th of January at his residence by police after allegedly becoming upset and causing damage at that location.

The accused smashed a hole through one of the interior walls and also damaged a window.

He was charged with mischief and is compelled to attend court on the 1st of March 2010.

************************* Break and enters

- A residence in the 500 block of Parliament Street was broken into sometime in the early evening on the 25th of January. A television and PlayStation console was taken.

- A residence on James Street was entered sometime during the afternoon and early evening hours of the 25th of January 2. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

- A residence in the 500 block of Sherbourne Street was broken into sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on the 25th of January. A laptop was stolen.
