A fire completely consumed a garage and destroyed a 1972 Corvette Stingray it housed at 153 Wilding Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie's West End this morning.
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services Platoon Chief Rick Thomas said an inspector was at the location early this afternoon but no cause has been determined yet.
However, the the fire's origin's are being described as "not suspicious."
Thomas said the fire also caused significant damage to vinyl siding on the owner's home and on a neighbouring residence.
A Bell trunk line on the property was also damaged.
SooToday.com readers reported seeing dense black smoke rise from the area around mid-morning.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene at about 10:30 a.m and departed the site early this afternoon.
