NEWS RELEASE

ALGOMA PUBLIC HEALTH

************************* Boil water advisory lifted - to consumers of the Town Of Thessalon water system

Algoma Public Health is advising users of the Thessalon water system that the boil water advisory has been lifted.

Bacteriological results have shown there are no total coliforms or E. coli in the water throughout the system.

The water system now meets the standards set out by the Safe Drinking Water Regulation (Ontario Regulation 170/03).

You may resume use of this water for drinking purposes without boiling.

Please be advised that the boil water advisory for those homes served by the Town of Thessalon in Huron Shores Township remains in effect.

There is a boil water order for 14 homes on Huron Street from the bridge to Main Street while repairs are done today.

For further information, please contact the Environmental Health Department, Algoma Public Health at (705) 759-5286 or visit our website at www.algomapublichealth.com
