SAULT AREA HOSPITAL

************************* Visitor restrictions on 300Y lifted

April 25, 2007 - The Noro-like virus outbreak on the third floor (300Y) of the General site has been declared over.

Effective immediately, the restriction of visitors on this unit has been lifted.

All visitors are reminded to adhere to hospital visiting hours.

Regular visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Visitors who come to the hospital are reminded to wash their hands often with the hand washing solution provided throughout the buildings.

SAH would like to extend its gratitude to the entire outbreak team, including:

- 300Y staff and management - Infection Prevention & Control staff - Occupational Health & Safety - Dietary Services - Central Transport Services (portering) - Housekeeping - Volunteers - Patients’ family members - Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Public Health Laboratories - Algoma Public Health - Members of the public - All other individuals who supported our outbreak efforts.
