The Sault Ste. Marie District of the Ministry of Natural Resources advises that as a result of the heavy rains experienced recently many roads accessing Crown land have been impacted by washouts and are currently impassable and are unsafe for travel.

The following roads are currently impassable or unsafe:

- McDonald Creek Road several unsafe bridges and washouts

- Carp River Road at Brant Lake

- Pipe Lake Road 1km south of Carp Road intersection

- Tribag Mine Road at km 10

- Garden Lake Road at Birch Lake

- Mile 38 Road several locations between km 11 and Tay Lake

MNR continues to assess the road systems in the district and will update this bulletin as new information is gathered.

MNR will be working with its partners to develop road rehabilitation priorities.

Streams and rivers are also unpredictable at this point in time.

MNR advises all residents to keep their children, pets and themselves away from riverbanks.
