************************* Hydro pole left damaged
Goulais River, Ont. - Sault Ste. Marie OPP were called to the end of Best Road in Goulais River after a hydro pole was discovered to be damaged.
Yesterday at about 3 p.m. police were called to the area after representatives from the hydro supplier discovered one of their poles just about broken in half.
Officers discovered that the pole had damage to it about four or five feet off the ground.
This type of damage is not consistent with a pole being struck by a car or truck.
The pole supported a hydro supply line for a series of homes in and around the Best Road area of Goulais River.
The investigation is continuing to determine who struck the pole and did not bother to report the incident and left it in a dangerous condition.
