Tropical Storm Epsilon has just strengthened into a record 14th hurricane for 2005 Epsilon's maximum sustained winds reached 75 miles an hour this morning, two days after the 2005 season was supposed to have officially ended.

Tropical Storm Epsilon has just strengthened into a record 14th hurricane for 2005

Epsilon's maximum sustained winds reached 75 miles an hour this morning, two days after the 2005 season was supposed to have officially ended.

Over the past 24 hours, it's turned away from Bermuda and is believed to pose no threat to land.

The storm is currently centered about 955 miles east of Bermuda.
