EAST FIRE REGION SITUATION UPDATE

*************************** Two new fires in the region over the Labour Day long weekend
Eighty-nine fires to date in the East Fire Region since April 1, 2008
Two new fires were reported over the long weekend.
Hearst 4 was called out at 0.3 hectares in size.
Parry Sound 9 is not yet under control at 0.5 hectares.
There are no problems anticipated.
The forest fire hazard is moderate to high in the East Fire Region with areas of extreme in some northern parts of the region.
Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines.
Remember to choose a safe site, keep your fire small and never leave it unattended.
Ensure the fire is put dead out before leaving the site.
