Two new COVID cases confirmed by APH, both in Sault area

Algoma Public Health is reporting two new COVID-19 cases, both in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

The new cases bring the total number of COVID cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 455.

Case No. 454, tested on Sept. 15, was exposed through close contact with a known confirmed case.

Case No. 455, tested on Sept. 16, is under the exposure category of unknown, which means the individual did not have any recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case.

There are currently 16 active COVID cases in the region as of Thursday afternoon.
