OPP officers in Wawa responded to two separate domestic disputes on Sunday, laying criminal charges in both cases.

The first call came in at approximately 10 a.m. from an address on Mission Road. Police say they arrested a person who was under a court order not to contact a specific person.

The 25-year-old was charged with three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Later that day, shortly before 3 p.m., the OPP was dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance on Hillcrest Avenue.

A 22-year-old was arrested and charged with spousal assault and two counts of mischief.

In both cases, the accused was released on bail with a return-to-court date in February.

Due to the domestic nature of the incidents, the OPP is not naming either of the suspects in order to protect the identities of the victims.
