Two clinics offering COVID-19 vaccines to Indigenous communities

The Sault Ste. Marie Indian Friendship Centre and Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services will be hosting two COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week for the Indigenous community in Sault Ste. Marie and area.

The clinics will provide Moderna Bivalent and Pfizer Bivalent vaccines for children over 12.

Clinics run from Nov. 18 to 25.

The Sault Ste. Marie Indian Friendship Centre and Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services will be hosting two COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Friday, Nov. 18, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the 12+ urban Indigenous population in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area. Appointments are also open to the general public.

There will be Moderna Bivalent and Pfizer Bivalent vaccine available. Unfortunately, vaccine for children under 12 will not be available for these clinics.

Vaccinations will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon and then resume from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Indian Friendship Centre located at 122 East St.
