Two beaches now OK for swimming

ALGOMA PUBLIC HEALTH

************************* Gros Cap and Marks Bay beaches are safe for swimming

Algoma Public Health has removed the swimming advisory for:

- Marks Bay, located on Airport Road, Sault Ste. Marie, and

- Gros Cap Beach, located off of Pinder Drive, Gros Cap

Test results of water samples collected on July 2, 2009, met the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care guidelines for safe swimming.

Before swimming, take into consideration the past day’s weather and the current conditions of the beach.

The public is encouraged to visit the Beach Warnings section on the Algoma Public Health website to view an interactive map of the beaches sampled and any current warnings or postings.
