NEWS RELEASE
TWINKIE FOUNDATION
*************************
The Twinkie Foundation has had a record year for donations. Thanks in large part to the Smile Cookie Campaign run by local Tim Hortons. The Twinkie Foundation now has the available funds to responsibly expand its footprint.

When The Twinkie Foundation was founded, one of its main missions was to expand to help outlaying families once the foundation received enough support.  We are extremely excited to announce that today is that day.

As of today, The Twinkie Foundation can now accept applications from families within 100km radius of Sault Ste Marie for any children’s hospitals outside of a 200km radius of Sault Ste Marie. This is a major expansion from our old mandate.

Before our success in 2018, we were only able to help families who lived in the city and who were travelling to Sick Kids Toronto

The Twinkie Foundation is a local registered charity completely dependent on local donations and grants. We deal with families that are currently facing the challenges of having sick or critically ill children.

We provide financial assistance for food, accommodations, travel, and other incidentals that are incurred on medical trips so that families can focus on their children and not stress over financial obligations.
