Trunk Road man accused of spitting in a cop car

************************* Twenty-three-year-old Jeffrey Gardener of #401-539 Trunk Road was arrested on the 17th of April at 1:44 a.m. on Dacey Road and charged with one count of mischief, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of assaulting a peace officer and one count of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the accused attended at the Mac’s Convenience Store on Dacey Road and stole some chips and fled on foot.

Police attended and located the accused in the area a short time later.

When the accused was being arrested he spat at the officers and in the rear of the cruiser on route to the police station.

He is to appear in court on the 26th of May.
