Trucker charged with impaired driving

************************* Forty-two-year-old Normand Dion of 188 Monette Street in Lasalle, Quebec was arrested on the 19th of December at 12:25 a.m. on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit.

It is alleged that just after midnight last night, City Police received information regarding a possible impaired driver operating a transport truck in the parking lot of a local restaurant on Great Northern Road.

When officers checked the driver, they found him to be under the influence of alcohol.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.
