************************* Tractor-trailer demolished in early-morning collision

WAWA, ON - An early-morning collision on the 11th of April 2007 caused delays through the day to motorists using Highway 17 between Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie.

At approximately 1 a.m. a southbound tractor-trailer left the roadway and struck a rock cut.

The two persons in the vehicle were taken to Lady Dunn General Hospital in Wawa with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 54-year-old male from Kitchener was charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

The tractor-trailer was completely demolished in the collision.

Clean-up will continue for another two days with minimal interruptions expected for motorists.
